Palm Sunday means the Easter is coming!

Palm Sunday, also known as “niedziela palmowa” in Polish, is an incredibly significant day in the Christian calendar. It falls on the Sunday prior to Easter, marking the commencement of Holy Week. According to Catholic tradition, this day commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. In Poland, it is customary for people to bring branches and dried flowers to church. As palm trees are not native to Poland, people usually bring pussy willows or “palms” made of colourful woven dried branches.

As Easter is just a week away, we would like to remind everyone that the Blessing of the Easter Baskets will take place at noon on Holy Saturday at St. Christopher Church.
