22nd Family Day at the International Peace Garden & Colors of Columbus - June 11

We cordially invite you to join us as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the International Peace with Justice Garden and the 25th Family Day at the Peace Garden on Sunday, June 11 (2-4 pm), 2017 at the southwest quadrant of Franklin Park; 1777 East Broad Street by the lake between the two bridges.

Sponsored by IVO, The Peace Garden is a legacy from Ameriflora 1992. This has been expanded during the Columbus Bicentennial (2012) to include flowering ornamental trees which represent the “Colors of Columbus” depicting the many cultures that make up Columbus and Central Ohio. This is a showcase of the cultural diversity of Columbus as a cosmopolitan city. A tree has been donated for Poland.

Our guest speaker will be former Councilwoman and current Judge Eileen Paley. Councilman Michael Stinziano will be the keynote speaker. In addition to the Colors of Columbus tree planting ceremony and speakers, there will be entertainment from various cultures. Light refreshments will be served.
