Polish Saturday School opens for business on Saturday, September 17th at noon (please note the change of time from 11:30 to 12:00 due to room scheduling issues). The classes will take place at the Lane Road Upper Arlington Public Library (1945 Lane Rd, Columbus, OH 43220.)
We plan on weekly meetings for the younger students and monthly meetings for the older ones. Please register your child on-line and come to help us play, talk, sing, read, and write in Polish! As last year, the school will be led by a group of families taking turns preparing the classes. You can contact our wonderful coordinators Zuzia Hammond or Bożena Stanek for more information, or PAC directly.
City of Dublin Historic District will have an event called Bazaar this coming weekend. This is a worthwile event on its own. Together with the owner of La Chatelaine PAC will introduce a Polish accent to the Bazaar event as well. This is to remind people about famous Pole, Tadeusz Kościuszko, and his relation to the Dublin area.
Stop by around noon at the Le Chatalaine in Dublin. The restaurant will be serving some Polish food, a few PAC members will be dressed up and we will be offering sample of classic vodkas from Poland as well.
7 pm, Tremont Rd Library, as always everyone is welcome to join.
Thank you all for coming. We were very lucky with the weather and received only a bit of rain on Saturday. Sunday, however, that was a different story alltogether. Make sure to dry your tents well before storing.
Special thanks to organizers (Marzena and Marek) and to Tomasz who helped with cooking.
Upon leaving the campground on Sunday Marzena collected a number of items of various value that were left behind. Please check the list here and contact Marzena to collect your item.
Friends, if you wish to set up your tent today (Thursday) or early tomorrow please text me or Agnieszka for a code to the gate. Contact info here.
We have a confirmation for Tuesday, 7pm, at Lineage Brewing on August 30. This is a busy place but they allowed us to reserve a table for 15 people. One of the bar tenders there is actually of Polish heritage!
If you have never participated in our Evening Social events you are missing out! Please come and join the fun.
Lineage Brewing opened its doors in Spring of 2015 and has already created quite a bit of buzz around this Clintonville microbrewery. Jessica and Mike Byrne were well known on the home brewers' circuit when they decided to open a shop in their neighborhood, and since then they have been named one of the 33 top new breweries by Beer Advocate, the leading beer rating website in the world, and they received the 2016 award for best Clintonville business by the Clintonville Chamber of Commerce. Lineage has several types of beer on tap at all times, mixed drinks, as well as a full food menu, making it a great place to spend some time in the area.
Special thanks go to PAC Member, Dr. Dan Pratt for organizing this event.
Post event: this was again good fun! We had about 15 members showing up including some new people.
Our annual campout will take place August 11 - 14 at Alum Creek at the usual location.

Join us for a fun-filled weekend of camping, games, swimming and bonfires. Some people will set up on Thursday, but you can come on Friday or Saturday. We have lots of activities and games scheduled for Saturday. Followed by our traditional potluck dinner, group photos and singing by the bonfire. More fun and games on Sunday, before we have to pack up in the afternoon.
This event will take place at the Alum Creek State Park GROUP CAMP. You will find it on the official map (lower part, center, west side of the reservoir). It is probably easier to click here for Google Map marker. The address is Alum Creek State Park, Lewis Center Rd. Contact anyone on PAC Board or Marek and Marzena Myszkowski if you need help. Thank you Marzena and Marek for offering to help again.
If you have kayaks or any other boats you'd like to bring, please do so, there is a small "beach" we can use. If anyone wants to share any game sets with us to enjoy during this weekend, that would be greatly appreciated.
PAC will provide some soft drinks, water and some sausages for the bonfire plus some hotdogs for children. We will prepare firewood on Saturday so if you need any for Thursday or Friday you may want to bring it with you.
Consider bringing mosquito repellent with you.
As every year PAC will collect small fee from everyone. This has been set to $10 per PAC member family and $15 for non-members. You can join PAC here. We will use wrist bands this year.
